CEO

Alex Goldstein

Alex Goldstein founded 90 West in 2016 with a commitment to help the highest impact and most innovative companies, organizations, and leaders make a greater impact on the world. Prior to founding 90 West, Alex served for eight years in numerous key leadership roles with former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, including as senior advisor and executive director of Governor Patrick’s political committee, as press secretary and spokesman for the Patrick-Murray administration from 2011-2012, and as press secretary on Governor Patrick’s successful 2010 reelection campaign.

Most recently, Alex served as the senior communications advisor and spokesman for Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley’s historic and successful campaign for Massachusetts’ 7th Congressional District.

Before starting 90 West and his service with the Governor, Alex served as press secretary for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development during the heart of the economic recession, and as spokesman for the Massachusetts Democratic Party during the 2008 presidential cycle. Alex has served on the adjunct faculty at Emerson College, Northeastern University, and MIT’s Global Founders’ Skills Accelerator.

Vice President

Natalie Boyle

Natalie Boyle joined 90 West in 2018. Prior to joining 90 West, she served as Director of Communications at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, a nonprofit in Boston dedicated to promoting civic education and inspiring civic engagement. Natalie joined the Institute in 2014 to help manage the Institute’s opening press strategy and achieve a high-profile rollout to the public.

As Director of Communications, Natalie served as the primary press contact for the Institute, managing inquiries and executing targeted media outreach to elevate the organization’s work in key outlets across the country. She oversaw messaging across all external platforms, and expanded the reach of Institute programs and initiatives through securing strategic media partnerships, coordinating press outreach with state and national elected officials, and engaging community partners in the Institute’s work. Prior to her work at the Institute, Natalie worked as Communications Director for the Together PAC, serving as press aide to Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick for political events and leading message development for all PAC communications. In 2012 and 2013, Natalie worked at the Massachusetts Democratic Party, coordinating the Party’s volunteer and intern program and directing the state’s democratic convention.

Senior ASSOCIATE

Katherine Sele

Katherine Sele joined 90 West in the summer of 2022 after graduating from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies with an emphasis on Political Communication and Law. She previously worked in the Community Engagement Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office under Maura Healey leading informational trainings for the public and promoting their Healthy Summer Youth Jobs initiative. During the initial phase of the pandemic, she worked with empowerHER, a Boston-based nonprofit that provides community and nurturance for young girls that have lost a mother, to help build their transition into virtual advocacy. Her political communications background comes from her work with WAVE, Women for American Values and Ethics, as their Communications Specialist leading their social media and press campaigns to support progressive federal, state, and local candidates in Orange County, California.

Harry Shipps

Harry Shipps joined 90 West as a vice president in 2017. For the past five years, he has provided research, policy, and communications support to organizations and political candidates at the local, state, and Federal level.

Before joining 90 West, Harry worked at Penn Hill Group, a leading bipartisan lobbying and consulting firm in Washington, D.C., specializing in education and workforce issues. In his role at Penn Hill Group, he supported a diverse set of business and non-profit clients by providing relevant information and guidance on Federal activity and legislation, generating both internal and external communications materials, and engaging in direct advocacy efforts with Members of Congress and key staff, among other responsibilities. He helped several clients achieve key objectives as part of the successful reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the primary Federal legislation related to K-12 education. He also helped clients engage on issues related to the annual appropriations process, Head Start Act, Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, Higher Education Act, and numerous Federal rules and regulations

Prior to his time in D.C., Harry was the Policy and Research Director for Attorney General Martha Coakley’s 2014 campaign for Governor of Massachusetts. In that role, he helped develop and articulate statewide policies focused on a range of issues, including education, the environment, economic development, and health care. He worked closely with other senior staff – including the Campaign Manager, Press Secretary, and Finance Director – to refine and advance the campaign’s messaging and agenda. He also led research efforts on the campaign and helped Attorney General Coakley prepare for speeches, public meetings, forums, and debates. Before his time on the campaign, Harry worked primarily as a political researcher, where he helped local, State and Federal candidates and officeholders create and execute strategic policy and opposition research plans.

Originally from West Newbury, Massachusetts, Harry holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brandeis University.

ASSOCIATE Vice President

Maddie Rocklin

Maddie Rocklin joined 90 West in 2019, while completing her bachelor's of science degree in Psychology at Northeastern University, and has been with the team full time since graduating in 2020. 

Prior to joining 90 West, Maddie worked as a public relations intern in the Corporate Communications Department at AMC Networks in New York City, and as a legislative and administrative intern for former U.S. Congresswoman Niki Tsongas in her Washington, D.C. office, where her scope of work included policy research, constituent services, and communications support, among other responsibilities. 

While at Northeastern, Maddie worked as a research assistant in the on-campus Interdisciplinary Affective Science Laboratory (IASL), studying human emotions using experiential, behavioral, and psychophysiological approaches.

ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT

Antonio Caban

Antonio Caban joined 90 West in 2023 as Associate Vice President, bringing with him over a decade of experience in communications strategy for state government and award-winning storytelling in print and television journalism.

Before 90 West, Antonio served as Deputy Communications Director to Massachusetts Senate President Karen E. Spilka. As spokesperson and strategic advisor on media relations, he advanced the work of the Senate through dynamic campaigns that weaved together impactful stories, policy, and multimedia promotion. While on Beacon Hill, he worked collaboratively across all three branches of government to roll out groundbreaking legislation, including the Student Opportunity Act, Next Generation Climate Roadmap, and Mental Health ABC Act.

Antonio started his career as a television producer at WTEN/WXXA in Albany, New York, before moving to Boston, where he worked as a producer for WHDH, multimedia specialist for State House News Service, and producer for GBH's Beat the Press with Emily Rooney and Greater Boston with Jim Braude. At GBH, Antonio and his production team earned two consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Interview and Production Program for Beat the Press in 2018 and 2019.

Born in Brazil and raised in upstate New York, Antonio now calls the Merrimack Valley home, where he lives with his family. He holds a master's degree in political management from The George Washington University and a bachelor's in communications from The College of Saint Rose. He is also a proud community college graduate with an associate's degree in broadcast communications from Hudson Valley Community College. Antonio also serves on the steering committee for the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library Foundation's New Frontier Network.
