Frances Sharples joined 90 West in the fall of 2024, bringing with them a diverse editorial background ranging from government communications to music journalism. Prior to 90 West, Frances served as the Strategic Engagement Coordinator for the City of Boston's Office of Youth Employment and Opportunity, where they collaborated with city agencies and non-profit organizations to uplift accessible employment opportunities for Boston's youth. Frances has also worked with presses like Four Way Books, the National Braille Press, and Sound of Boston, supporting a wide range of editorial work. 

Frances graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Geneseo with a BA in English literature and minor in women and gender studies. At Geneseo, Frances worked as Editor-in-Chief of student-run newspaper The Lamron, and Iris Magazine, a queer multimedia publication that they founded in 2021. 

Relocating to Boston post-grad, Frances is proud to uplift the work of community organizations across the state, and volunteers regularly with organizations like the Allston Brighton Food Pantry.
